This season provides the right opportunity to commit ourselves to the wellbeing of others and it is my hope that this commitment can be compared with your dedication to Taekwon-Do training throughout the year. We must grasp this opportunity for each of us to review what we do, how we do it and how we might make small changes which make a big difference long term.
The past year has seen significant effort by UK ITF instructors, students, members and, of course, supporters, striving towards realizing both the hopes and purpose of participating and training in Taekwon-Do. There are the “big issues” which take much time to resolve – but we must not overlook all the small steps taken on a daily basis towards better understanding and friendships enabled through training together in clubs, cities, regions, countries, continents and globally.
We look forward to the ITF World Championships in Canada in 2012. This will be a celebration of individual, team, national and international collaboration – members communicating and working together to achieve individual and common goals, and to complement this, the UK ITF will be introducing a number of workshops to ensure that we meet our responsibility of providing Taekwon-Do in its entirety to all our members.
In living by the tenets of Taekwon-Do individually, and working together with a positive attitude, there is strong hope that we can achieve our full potential as martial artists.
