17th October 2008
Master Choi had a very successful visit to Bradley Stoke , Bristol. With Instructor Miss Burridge organising his visit. Over 70 students ranging from red belts to Masters attended from all over the country & as far away as Ireland. 14 of the students were from Stoke Gifford TKD.
Master Choi used the opportunity to personally enforce the use o f the natural body movement in all movements, to allow our kicks, punches & blocks to be more realistic. Master Choi gave many demonstrations & also used students & Masters to explain many points. Mr Tim Fox 1st Degree from Stoke Gifford was used to explain the continuous motion, and Mr Kim Denton 2nd Degree from Thornbury, asked the Master many thought provoking questions.
The two hours flew by & very soon it was time to finish off & have a very quick group photo, before everybody rushed off to get ready for the banquet.
A three course banquet followed the seminar. Students that were unable to participate in the seminar due to not being a high enough grade, were invited to spend some time with Master Choi, along with students that had by that point worked up a hearty appetite. The evening was finished off with Miss Burridge presenting Master Choi with a Bristol Blue glass paper weight, engraved with the date & ITF logo. A presentation of Bristol Blue glass cuff links was also made to Master Nicholls & Mr Mark Skyrme for all their hard work. All that was left then was for students to get souvenir photo’s & autographs from the Master before he departed for bed.
An amazing once in a lifetime evening was enjoyed by all!
