BackReturn to Competition & Events

27th July 2021

UK ITF instructors have been amazingly diligent during the COVID-19 pandemic in their determination and innovation in delivering Taekwon-Do sessions, seminars, workshops, Patterns competitions and gradings via online platforms and outside spaces.  Many UK ITF clubs have reopened, but sadly so many still cannot, mainly due to issues with facility providers.  We hope that September will see all clubs back up and running and all members return to enjoy the many benefits Taekwon-Do training offers.

UK ITF members have for nearly 18 months stoically borne the COVID-19 restrictions which have impacted so devastatingly on the competitions and events which normally bring us all together throughout the year.  As we progress further along the roadmap to recovery, UK ITF INO#2 are pleased to announce that the first seeding event for the ITF World Championships 2022 will be the UK ITF National Championships on 9th October 2021, to be held at Hertfordshire Sports Village.

We cannot wait to see old friends and new at an event which will be a celebration of the opportunity to come together again and enjoy our shared passion for Taekwon-Do.  UK ITF National Championships provide learning experiences for novice students (as well as parents and supporters) and a level of competition required to identify potential World Championship competitors.  Our Administration, Events, Umpire, Tournament and Coaching Teams are raring to deliver a great experience for you all.  The National Championships provide competition in Patterns, Sparring, Power and Special Technique; they are exciting and often surprising in revealing hidden talents!

As the date approaches, UK ITF will publish information to detail all the arrangements we will put in place to ensure a COVID-safe event; club instructors will support students in their preparation and add their reassurance to students and parents of our shared and sincere endeavours to enable everyone to enjoy a safe return to competition.

Look out for the updates and, in the meantime, enjoy a happy Summer season.
