Prior to the UK ITF Instructor meeting, Master Trevor Nicholls lead Instructors in a training session.  As he explained, Instructors work weekly to deliver quality training and development to their students in clubs.  Many people see and hear about the glitz of President and senior officials and international events.  Master Nicholls assured all those present he never forgets the valuable work, time and effort given by all UK ITF Instructors.

The training session was an opportunity to come together from across the country, to don our doboks and train together, to reflect on the ‘Do’ of our martial art and recognise that we are one as an ‘Instructor’.

Master Nicholls reminded everyone that UK ITF is the umbrella organisation which gives us credibility through the national governing body, British Taekwondo Council, and ITF.

Master Nicholls applauded Instructors’ energy, enthusiasm, commitment to work within the parameters of UK ITF, confidence and tolerance in recognising our differences both within and outside the organisation.  We all need to work together to take UK ITF forward.

This exhortation was put into practice during the meeting following training, where reports from Committees were received and various topics discussed:  clubs, regional organisation, funding, competitions and forthcoming events.  Instructors who were unable to attend should contact their Regional Representative for an update.

All UK ITF Instructors are reminded to contact their Regional Representative or the various Committee Chairs if they have an interest in becoming involved in actively shaping the future of UK ITF.
