TEIGNBRIDGE TAEKWON-DO - END OF A BUSY YEAR 2011
What a busy year Teignbridge Taekwon-do Club has had........representing UKITF with School Demos, Dawlish Carnival, many students entering competitions (Welsh//Devon/English/Team and British), with the Club seeing many new Champions. The Club has also seen, several students achieving the coverted Black Belt grade and 2nd /3rd and 4th Dan as well. Well done to all.
The busy year, came to a fun social end on December 10th.... The Junors and Generation X had loads of fun on the Bouncy Castle, that had been organised for them. Mind you so did many of the adult students, who sneaked on while the Children were playing pass the parcel - as has become tradition over the past 3 years, patterns were performed on the Bouncy Castle, ...(Sarah and Cheryl''s Chon Ji - has had over 130 hits on you tube....)ha ha...All the children, helped themselves to a party tea that had been provided by the parents. They all enjoyed themselves (so did the adults, but don''t tell the children!!!). Everyone helped with the clear-up.
The Adults had just two hours, before their own Christmas Party and Trophy Presentation Evening. Over 70 people attended, covering all Taekwon-do sections. A very nice meal was enjoyed by all, with a few juniors having seconds. After the meal, Trophies were presented to Students for achievements over the year. Also, having just had a Black Belt grading two weeks previous, the new Black Belt Students were presented with their Belts and Certificates. Making it a very special evening.
Mr Peter Hilditch and Mr Ross Hilditch, were presented with engraved Glass Tankards, as a Thank You gift from the Students for their Support, knowledge and time over the past year. Mrs Carol Hilditch, received a basket of flowers from the students. The tables then played musical chairs, to clear a space for the dance floor and the party began. Dancing carried on til late.A fun day was had by all. Teignbridge Taekwon-do Students are looking forward to representing UKITF next year with the competitions, the demos, plus meeting up with students from other clubs.
A huge thank you to all at UKITF, Master Nicholls, Mr Peter HIlditch and Club Instructors, for making this year enjoyable and successful. Heres to 2012.....Taekwon.
