Christmas Party 2012
Over the past weekend students from Yiewsley, Hillingdon and Hayes Taekwon-Do academies all came together to celebrate the Christmas season with a fun filled day of games and activities. The generation ‘X’ group kicked of the celebrations Saturday morning, turning up early and helping put up decorations for the day. The party started with a set of team based games, with the winning groups receiving a well earned medal at the end of the day. Following a little break for food and drinks, the children set round to watch a Christmas film. The day rounded off with a series of festive tasks, from sleigh pulling to parcel stacking with awards being presented at the end to all children.
The second day saw cadets from all three clubs coming together to celebrate Christmas and a completion to a successful year of Taekwon-Do. It was fantastic to see all children getting on so well and forming new friendships. Once again all children turned up eager to help and take part. After an excitement filling game of sponge ball football, the students were happy to take a long rest and watch another festive film. As with the Gen ‘X’ party, cadets had a chance to work together to win awards and medals, taking part in some very physically and mentally tough tasks. The day ended with the children giving their own quick speech, allowing them to tell the other kids their fondest memories in Taekwon-Do and their achievements.
I would like to thank all parents and children for supporting the party and hope all those that attended had a great time. I would also like to extend my appreciation to those that helped on the day, organising the event and preparing the food and drinks for the children.
