On the 19th November region 1 held it very much anticipated STOMP competition. After a brisk set up from all willing instructors and helpers the rings were ready and the kids were rearing to go.

Up first were the generation ‘x’ categories who showed their confidence and skill, stepping onto the mat and performing a 30 second display to a packed out audience. Following the pattern divisions sparring was called. With a little help from the ring judges the gen ‘x’ competitors were fully geared up in their protective wear and ready to fight. A great display was shown by all students, a positive sight for the future of UKITF Taekwon-Do. Following the generation ‘x’ divisions the cadets arrived at mid-day, well rested and eager to compete. Once again a high standard was seen throughout the categories both in sparring and patterns. It was great to see all the children competing in a fun friendly environment, stepping of the ring with a smile win or lose.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all judges and officials who helped with the smooth running of the day, all spectators and each competitor who without the event would not have been such a success.
