Saturday 22nd May 2010 saw the third Imperial Team Challenge held in Thornbury, Bristol.
Over 170 students travelled from all over the UK from as far as Scotland & Cornwall. The morning started promptly with Master Nicholls in attendance to oversee the day’s events.
First on were the Black belt categories, & the crowd were treated to a wonderful display of patterns & sparring. With many of the black belts qualified for the World championships, the competitive spirit was high. The coloured belt’s followed the fine example set by the senior grades.
The day progressed well & with all the medals given out, it was time to tally up the points to find out the overall top club. Master Nicholls proceed to congratulate the 3rd & 2nd place clubs & then presented top club, Imperial Stoke Gifford TKD with a trophy & shield.
After a great days competition the students & officials were treated to an early finish to enjoy the wonderful weather. A big thank you goes to all the competitors for their participation, & all helpers & officials for making the day run so smoothly.
