Imperial TaekwonDo Demonstration – Uxbridge (Party in the Park)
Saturday 27th June 2009

We could not have wished for a more pleasant day. The weather forecast predicted rain, but fortunately the rain stayed away.

The demonstration team consisted of 7 students from various local Imperial TaekwonDo schools, led by Mr Lee Hollingsworth (V).

We spent time demonstrating some basic patterns, impactful pad work and light semi-free sparring interspersed with distributing leaflets, engaging and talking with interested parents and children.

The day started at 12noon and finished at 5pm. During that time we were also graced with the presence of the local Mayor ( The Worshipful Mayor of Hillingdon - Shirley Harper-O'Neill), who showed great interest and wanted to see more.

All in all it was a great and worthwhile event, where we recruited and signed up several new members on the day.

We are thankful and grateful to the organizers of the event, which far exceeded our expectations. It also gave us a wonderful opportunity to showcase our excellent TaeKwonDo Martial Arts to the local community. We look forward to next year.
