| | On behalf of Region 1, we extend our congratulations to all the students who participated in the SE Regional Championships. The event saw great attendance from clubs within our region and was further supported by clubs from our broader UK ITF family. As always, the focus of this event was on enjoyment, gaining valuable experience, and providing an opportunity to meet and compete alongside fellow UK ITF competitors.
The competition commenced with our youngest participants in the Generation-X divisions. Their performances exceeded our expectations, showcasing remarkable confidence and determination. Following this, our junior Kup and Degree students took to the rings. With three rings in action, spectators and parents were treated to thrilling displays of competitive Taekwon-Do. Each student performed admirably, displaying both skill and sportsmanship.
After a short break, the venue welcomed a wave of eager cadets, many of whom were competing for the first time. It was particularly rewarding for instructors to witness the progression in skill, from white belt beginners to more seasoned black tags. This highlighted the critical role these regional events play in nurturing talent at the grassroots level.
Our thanks go out to all competitors, umpires, instructors, and support staff who contributed to making the event a success. Special thanks to the UK ITF clubs outside the region for their support, as well as our affiliate groups and BTC member organizations. We eagerly anticipate seeing you all at the next event.
