UTA Competition 2023
View all articles

What an incredible day we had at the Unified Taekwon-Do Association (UTA) competition on the 24th of June 2023! This outstanding event, organized by our completely non-profit-making association, brought together talented competitors from all age groups within clubs in the UTA and showcased their skills in Letchworth.

We were thrilled to witness the energy and enthusiasm of our Little Dragons, cadets, juniors, adults, and seniors. With just under 350 competitors, the competition was filled with great spirit and determination.

The event started with our Little Dragons. These young competitors had 30 seconds to demonstrate their impressive techniques, it was great to see their talent and potential. It''''s lovely to see the future of Taekwon-Do shining so brightly!
The cadets then started, showcasing their exceptional patterns and engaging in intense sparring matches. Their dedication and skill were truly remarkable, and we are proud of each and every one of them.

As the day progressed, the adults and seniors impressed the audience with their precise patterns, exhilarating sparring bouts, incredible breaking techniques, and special techniques. It was a true testament to their hard work, perseverance, and love for Taekwon-Do.

We also had the honour of witnessing a fantastic demonstration by the five competitors who might represent the UK in Korea at the upcoming 1st World Games. Their talent and commitment were evident, and we wish them the best of luck if they get selected for their international journey. We know they will make us proud!

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated, the dedicated spectators who cheered on the competitors, and the supportive parents who made this fundraising event a tremendous success. Your contributions have helped us continue our mission of promoting Taekwon-Do and creating opportunities for aspiring competitors. Last of all but most of all, a big thank you to the Umpires for your hard work throughout the day.
