At 12.30pm the doors were opened & competitors along with their supporters started to enter the theatre. It was clear that everyone was surprised & excited by the impressive arena. The centre ring was the main focal point up in the stage with the spot lights highlighting what was to be the focus for the whole of the afternoon & evening. Pumping music along with a big screen inspiring slide show of Taekwon-do photos & quotes all adding to the atmosphere.

The competition which was set to be just the finals as all pre-lim matches had already been decided the week before, started just after 1pm with the U14''s category. It was not an understatement to say that every competitor regardless of age, grade & experience really rose to the occasion & gave it their all. Mr Gav Sidhu was our Master of ceremonies & announced every competitors name as they then they entranced through curtains to pumping music & great cheers from the crowd. UK Champions along with the runners up were then presented with their awards after each category by Master Wood. 

The afternoon & evening progressed with the age categories moving up through U16''s, U18''s, Adults & Seniors, it was apparent how much depth of experience our competitors have gained with many of them already current World Champions from Rome last year. It was clear to see that their training & dedication hasn''t wavered as the crowd were treated to some first class displays.  

As the evening & the final few categories came to an end it was left for the Special Technique & Power disciplines to take place. There was lots of nervous energy as many had waited all day, but once again the crowd were treated to a magnificent display of how spectacular & devastating the art of Taekwon-do can be when practiced & applied correctly.

The Tournament committee would like to thank all that may the day possible with special thanks going to the Tournament & Umpire committee, Master Nicholls, Master Wood, & Master Horan. Much appreciation goes to all the umpires, competitors & spectators that travelled from near & far to support the event.
