14 British Champions and 32 medals for Gassor’s Tournament Team!!! 34 students represented Gassor’s Tournament Team at the UK ITF British Championships in Crawley, West Sussex on Saturday 25th October and they came away with an amazing 14 British Champions! The team won a brilliant 32 medals in total, which were 14 Gold medals, 10 Silver medals and 8 Bronze medals! The club are extremely proud of all 34 students and the medal results for the team were: Gold Medals: (British Champions) Caitlin Nail – Sparring and Special Technique (Jumping High Kick) David Perry – Sparring Ellis Murphy – Sparring Georgia Southway – Sparring Lexie Smith – Special Technique (Jumping High Kick) Matiss Jekalis – Sparring Owen Carter – Sparring Rhiannon Nielsen – Sparring Robert Howell – Sparring Sam Chand – Sparring and Special Technique (Flying Side Kick) Tomos Sharwood – Sparring William Holmes – Sparring Silver Medals: Arron Rose – Patterns Axel Hegarty – Special Technique (Flying Side Kick) Craig Radford – Sparring Daniel Holmes – Sparring Emilio Thacker – Sparring Jake Rendle – Sparring Jamie Yung – Sparring Lexie Smith – Sparring Owen Powell – Sparring Rhys Thomas – Sparring Bronze Medals: Arron Rose – Sparring Chayton Worrell – Sparring Craig Radford – Patterns Daniel Holmes – Patterns Gwyn Blackmore – Sparring Jake Rendle – Patterns Jake Rogers – Sparring Robert Howell – Patterns A Big ‘WELL DONE’ also goes to: Alexander Hemming, George Williams, Harri Radford, Kai Stewart, Kian Luton, Lewys Burge, Liam Rossiter, Logan Hegarty, Morgan Stones and Myles Bassage-Morgan who also all gave excellent performances. Gassor’s Senior Instructor and Head Coach, Mrs Leanne Gassor-Jones 4th Degree Black Belt, praised the effort and hard work that all 34 students put into the tournament and said that she is extremely proud of them all. The club are also really grateful for the consistent support they receive from their students and their families. The team are now focusing their efforts on the Taekwon-Do Challenger Cup in Barcelona next month. Gassor’s would also like to thank the UK ITF tournament committee, umpire committee and all those involved with the organisation of the tournament.
