Region 4 Master Nicholls Seminar

On Sunday 28th April Master Nicholls travelled to Cornwall to conduct a Black Belt session and regional seminar.

The morning began at 9am as members from 1st-5th Dan were put through their paces. Master Nicholls explained the difference between similar techniques and their applications in black belt patterns. Each pattern was reviewed and performed before moving on to the next. The session concluded with the 5th degrees working on their patterns.

At 10.30 it was time for the Seminar. Over 40 students of all ages from white belt to 5th Dan watched Master Nicholls demonstrate the importance of hip twist to generate power and fluidity in hand techniques. This was then practised in pad work. With sore arms and shoulders developing Master Nicholls moved on to Turning Kick and Side Kick.

The seminar showed the purpose and commitment of techniques in real situations, creating power when required.

Everyone in Region 4 would like to thank Master Nicholls for travelling down to Cornwall to conduct both sessions
