Well what a fantastic weekend Region 5 had at the Team Challenge tournament in Chippenham. Having only had 8 Region 5 competitors, 6 Ga-Jok and 2 Eastwood TKD Academy attend the tournament they brought back a massive talley of medals, 23 in total, 19 to Ga-Jok and 4 to Eastwood TKD Academy. - Team "Golden Oldies" senior female, consisted of Vicky Hart, Sarah Harris & Sally Stevens, all winning 4 golds each, in all 4 events.
- Team "Terminators" cadet boys 8-13yrs, consisted of Benjamin Langton, Jordan Wood & Adam Hill, all won 2 bronze medals each in sparring and patterns.
- Team "Two Nations" junior boys 14-17yrs, consisted of Joshua Harris, Brad Robertson & Billy Smith, all won 2 gold medals each, in sparring and special techniques.
- Team "Area 1 guys" adult & senior male, consisted of Andrew Stevens, Gavin Robertson & Luke Dempsey, all won 3 medals each in gold sparring, gold in destruction and silver in patterns.
All Region 5 competitors would like to thank Brad & Gavin Robertson from Scotland, Billy Smith from SGTKD, and Luke Dempsey from Master Nicholls TKD for making teams up with Joshua Harris & Andrew Stevens. Without your help, these teams would not been able to compete. Also a massive WELL DONE to Andrew Stevens (senior male) for competing against the adult men.
