TEIGNBRIDGE TAEKWON-DO AT DAWLISH CARNIVAL 19th August 2011

Dawlish Carnival is high on the list of Carnivals to see in Devon and this year was very well attended, with more than 25,000 spectators lining the streets of the town.

(Holiday makers to the area plan their holidays around Carnival week.)

Teignbridge Taekwon-do entered into the ''groups of 9 and above'' section of the Carnival and received a ''HIGHLY COMMENDED'' placement.

UKITF was well represented with all sections and grades present, from Generation X (the smallest student received lots of ''awhs'' from the crowd), through Cadets, Juniors, Adults and Senior students. Along the route, Mr Peter Hilditch 4th Degree, put everyone through their paces by doing sitting stance front punches, patterns, breaking wood boards and pad work (punches and kicks).

All students put on a good show and were a credit to the Teignbridge Taekwon-do Club and UKITF Taekwon-do. Each demo or pattern was greeted with cheers and were well received from on-lookers.

Mr Ross Hilditch 3rd Degree, showed the crowd how to perform split kicks while breaking boards. Mr Adam Wilkins 3rd Degree, performed his amazing ''jump over 5 juniors and break a board'', routine.

The Carnival atmosphere was brilliant and a wonderful fun evening was had by all students and spectators.

A huge thank you to all instructors and black belts at Teignbridge Taekwon-do, looking forward to next year.....
