Royal Wedding Party Demonstration
4th May 2011

Friday 29th April saw Stoke Gifford Taekwon-do’s newest demonstration team in their first display of the year. The team was formed to put on a demonstration to celebrate the Royal Wedding at their training venue in Stoke Gifford.

The day started well with great crowds attending the party that was organised by the Stoke Gifford trust committee for the benefit of the local community.

The team was the second display on in the main arena & straight away the crowds formed in anticipation of what this group, kitted out with a gleaming white Stoke Gifford team suits with a union jack theme would produce. The crowd was not disappointed as the team started with a fantastic group break, followed by a super team pattern by the ladies & girls. More & more crowds started to join as the team went into sparring routines with many ahh’s & ooh’s from the audience. A great team pattern by the 2nd & 1st kup boys was then followed up by the ladies showing some great self defence against the guys. The demo was then finished off by some very impressive jumping & flying destruction & finalised by forefist air breaks.

The crowd were very appreciative of the excellent display & the team showing their support for the Royal Wedding by giving the crowd a wave with union jack flags & blow up hands.

Well done to all the team, parents & supporters. We look forward with great excitement to the many summer displays.
