South Leicester Taekwondo is a Leicester based club that began in January 2014. The club came about as a
result of one of the Leicester Taekwondo instructors moving house. Mr Nicholas
Overton gained his V Dan in April 2013 and decided that it was about time he
started his own club. The club started on January 6th 2014 with only
3 members. The club has grown and now have over 15 registered members. The club
has 2 1st Dan and a 2nd Dan and 2 members who are black
tag, so hoping to grade soon. The club also welcome white belts and have
welcomed new members every month since it opened.
The club meet twice a week; Monday
and Thursday. The lessons start at 6.30 pm and finishes at 8pm. Within the
lessons students are taught a full range of different techniques all adhering
to the UKITF and ITF syllabus.
The club’s senior grades regularly
train with Master Trevor Nicholls VIII Dan and hope to continue to grow.
