The A
Team, Paignton Chilli Pork Pies, 2 lots of Muppets (Richards and Stoke
Gifford), The Good The Bad and The Ugly, The Eighty-oners. With a slide to the
left, slide to the right and a criss-cross.
What
could this be? Only one thing. The UKITF Team Challenge. Time for everyone to
let their hair down and have fun.
To start
the day there were choreographed patterns (and slide left, slide right,
criss-cross - a very inventive walk-on by the Richards Looney-Toons. Thank you
guys!). Whilst walk-ons and names were inventive, there was also the serious
business of executing technically high standard patterns with perfect timing.
And of course there were many fine examples.
Moving on
to sparring, this year saw yet more spectacular and exciting fights. There are
some obvious up-and-coming Champions of the future as shown by our younger
students in point-stop sparring.
Special
techniques included the flying high kick and the flying long kick.
Acceleration, flexibility and ''''spring'''' a must.
The Power
of Taekwon-do was aptly shown in the Destruction categories, with a few team
tie-breakers as board after board broke under focused power.
Lastly
the Team Cup was presented. Stoke Gifford TKD took the cup 1st place for the
2nd year in its 4year history, with previous winners Paignton TKD 2nd and
Richards TKD closely chasing them at 3rd position.
A huge
well done to all competitors, and of course thank you to all spectators,
supporters, Umpires and assistants. See you at the next UKITF Event!!

It was most certainly an eventful day, especially judging the patterns with a serious face with team "Richards Looney Tunes!" brilliant!!!!! Kerry Burridge ( UK ITF)
